eve of the x'mas

was still planning for today's activities..tot today is x'mas and tmr x'mas eve,haha..wad a mistake..
uncle called and say wanted to come and visit us, then we realise that some shopping centres will still open today,so we all go vivocity together. Guess it's the first place that comes into people's mind nowadays before even realising it..
the first instinct when i reach there is to rackey the food outlets,that's my favourite sport i think, shopping with many food related places to seeeeeeee..love to eat but often got bad demons circling in my mind telling me" those are the worst food for you, they will make you fat"haha..maybe not so much ever since i got lecturings from dad..aunt and i booked a place at Carnovore for their buffet lunch tomorrow oredi, ain;t we kiasu?but aren;t all singaporeans the same?heehee..nvm..
after that we decied to try out HK Kim Gary Restaurant at L2.it was very crowded and worse after our turn.Luckily we reach there earlier than them,hee..:p
we had 7 pax, so gotta get another table to join. we had b'fast oredi so only ordered some to share..which turns out to be quite a filling meal in the end..first to come was the rice with egg and shredded chicken with the cream soup, and our drinks which are almond milk(mine!), Yin Yang, and ice blended milo( my cousin's),plus a think toast with jam and thick layer of buttery peanut..i have to cut the toast myself as the waitress say they don;t provide cutting service like Toastbox..but i quite like it cuz it was sweet! my almond milk was quite pleasan with a tinge of perfume smell..
then comes the main courses and other snacks..Grandma's hot and spicy noodles with chicken wing was served in a super huge bowl, i like the, a bit like mala soup..then 2 fried chicken wings and fries, "one-mini bite" fish cutlet..lastly the baked rice with chicken chop served in bamboo tray and my baked cheese spaghetti with twin sauce(beef sauce and corn cream sauce)..the spaghetti was quite a lot but i slurped them all up, scary right?oh, i had some ice blended milo 2..we ordered another one lor..the kids like, kinds sweet but worth a teeny bit..
after eating, we went giant hypermart to buy stuffs for our steamboat dinner just now, i ate like a glutton i guess..one thing i want to mention about giant is that they actually have ready steamed sweet potatos and yam ya noe..i love them and can eat them everyday, sadly the sweet potatoes were not ready when i was there so had yam only!so full after that..
Our steamboat was a success!our soup so sweet and tasty, put vege and prawns etc..usual stuffs, what a nice comfortable meal on a windy day hor?

I know it can be frustrating if you can't make up your mind between the three roasted meat stalls and four other dim sum stalls. They all look the same but you know surely one of those stalls is the famous one which your grandparents and parents grew up eating.  Today, I'd introduce to you one of the best dimsum and roast meats non-restaurant style, together with some new findings in the current People's Park Complex.  It has been a long while since I last wowed at the dimsum before me. The stall only displays a pathetic number of dishes in the glass cabinet as compared to Ho Kee which display a wide myriad of choices. Yet... 道记(Chop Hean Kuan) 's dimsums sells like hot cakes. The price range is not large, cheapest at 90c for items like the ugly looking yet tempting siew mai, egg tarts and 韭菜角, the most expensive item is 2 bucks for the 糯米鸡. The mini char siew bao was heaven. I seldom fancy this because it feels  often feels like eating marinated card board.

Jimoto-Ya (Singapore)

Sometimes, i wished there isn't so many new restaurants sprouting around our tiny island everyday (pocket is bleeding), but at times, i am exhilarated especially when something like Jimoto-Ya is in town! Thanks to one of Jimoto-Ya's sake supplier who strongly recommended the place, that i had to try it right away. And in a week, there goes 2 meals at Jimoto-Ya. I was there on a weekday afternoon and a weekend night respectively. Both experience were unique on its own yet similar in the right points.  From top: Ebi Shoyu Ramen Set (19 SGD), Curry Rice Set (19 SGD), Ebi Shio Ramen Set (19 SGD) Lunch and dinner menu are the same at the moment with ramen and rice sets taking the limelight. For lunch, i shared the above 3 sets with my 2 girlfriends who were as delighted as me to eat them the second the food was served. Tendon Kohaku's 2nd outlet!

Ever since I chanced upon Tendon Hokaku (even though I've read so much about it before that plus all the instagram spams on my wall) at its 1st outlet at Suntec, been missing it. Just that the queue can be quite a pain especially during the peak hours. So there's also peak periods for dining nowadays!  It's opening at Circular Road last week has caused such a hype especially amongst the working crowd in the area. CBD IS HAPPENING TOO!    Quickly, the queue has formed with longer queue times as the days go by. I went on a Wednesday at 1pm and the waiting time was 15 mins, better than I expected. Then on Thursday, it became 40 mins. I'm not sure how long it'll be in the days to come. But if you all agree with me, the perpetual queue is a good sign too!    The cosy outlet has about 6-7 tables and some counter seats so I reckon it can hold up to 20 pax at each time.
